Porn Ban - A Fools Errand

I'm a bit late to get into this debate, but bear with me. If you cant, well, dont read this post. First of all, I have nothing against porn. Wait. Before you all come at me, brandishing your vicious keyboard and blog combination, calling me names, let me tell you, I ain't a pervert either (But of course, thats my point of view. Yours might be drastically different). So stop with all the glares.
I can understand why our president would want to impose a ban like this. But the net is not so easy to moderate (which might come as a surprise to the old boy, seeing that he's now used to controlling almost every aspect of our lives) as the Australian and Indonesian governments found out. There are many ways to bypass these restrictions, some of which (like proxies) are very well known. Another thing to note, web pages aren't the only medium through which porn is downloaded. To completely stamp out porn from our desktops, the ISPs will have to stop file sharing in its many forms, like Bittorrent, P2P, eDonkey, Direct Connect, etc... And I'm afraid I'll have to put my foot down at Bittorrent, my favourite way of pirating TV series and movies from the internet. This is why I call this a Fools errand. Yes. And no you are mistaken, its not because of the source of the presidential directive, no sir.
Anyways, like I said, I'm late in getting into this debate, and at this point in time, playboy.com, nutorrent.com and clubjenna.com are all in working order. So it seems like this presidential directive is also down the drain, or maybe a black hole. And remember, nothing escapes from a Black hole. Nothing. Not even a Presidential directive!
